Panasonic, Fujitsu to Foray into European Smartphone Market

- Panasonic released its Eluga model targeting at the European Smartphone market on February 20, 2012, according to a report by Reuters. Running on the Android OS and featuring a 4.3-inch touchscreen, the model will be sold in Europe starting from April 2012. It is reported that the company aims to sell 1.5 million units of Smartphones during its next fiscal year to March 2013.

- In related news, Fujitsu said the company plans to introduce a variety of Smartphones and tablet PCs to the European market, according to the same source. It is reported that the company is currently in talks with operators. Timetables and other details are yet to be decided.
